Route 66

Drove up to Mt. Olive, Illinois yesterday in the old buggy. Mt Olive is the home of an old restored gas station. It is called Soulsby Service Station and has quite a history which you can read by clicking the below link. The top image below is one of the photos I snapped while there and the bottom image is a rendered watercolor of the same shot. The virtual watercolor was made possible by some “artsy” software I recently acquired and it does a pretty good job of converting a photo to a water-color. I also have Photoshop that allows me to replace the buggy with any other car or object.
