Saw this band last night at University of Missouri St Louis. It is the best band I have ever seen. The saxophonist Eric Marienthal, in the picture, will “blow you away”. Gordon said after college a bunch of them went to Disneyland to gain some experience. He said the days were hot and grueling but during their tough schedules Eric would go into the hallway during their breaks and practice which annoyed the other players because it made them look bad but it produced and outstanding saxophone player. On the video Eric starts his first solo about 2 minutes into the video. If you ever get a chance to see the Big Phat Band don’t miss it.
