Last night after I went to bed around 10:00 PM I was in the twilight zone, between awake and sleep, when the doorbell rang. I said to myself, “Whoa”, who could that be this late. As I approached the door I yelled out “who is it?” The voice on the other side of the door said “County Police” this time my response was “Oh boy”. Standing in my underwear I opened the door to see a rather young officer who asked if I had called the police and my answer was no. It seems he was looking for an address that was similar to mine but not mine. I told him where I thought the location might be and he quickly left. Weird thoughts go through your mind when the police are pounding on your door. After, the recent shooting of an innocent man in his own apartment by an LA officer you wonder should I answer the door with my hands in the air? I chose to remain calm and hope for the best and of course it was fine. I hope the officer found the correct address.
