Neighbor snapped the below pic. The hawk spotted an overheated squirrel that was resting all spread out on top of a tree limb and mistook it as injured and as a potential meal but the squirrel dodged the big bird for about 20 minutes. The hawk flew off at warp speed leaving the squirrel unhurt. Yea, one for the tree rats.
