Kishen and Kristin, my next neighbors, encountered a cycling family yesterday in a Missouri park at sundown. They were setting up camp for their adopted children (7) when the park ranger informed them they could not camp in the park. The family is cycling from Belleville, Illinois to Six Flags in Missouri. Since it was almost dark and they had no place to stay Kishen and Kristin offered them their home and they accepted. As they were getting ready to leave the following morning I offered them an unused but serviceable 20 inch bike I had sitting in my basement. I also threw in 3 helmets sitting unused in my garage and they accepted the bike and helmets. Below is an image of the group minus the mom who took the picture and Kristin who was on her way to work.
