A Dilemma

May 14, 2018

An Engineer dies and goes to Hell. Dissatisfied with the
level of comfort, he starts designing and building improvements.
After a while, Hell has air conditioning, flush toilets and escalators. The
engineer is a pretty popular guy. One day God calls and asks Satan,
“So, how’s it going down there?” Satan says, “Hey things are going great.
We’ve got escalators and there’s no telling what this engineer is going to come up with

God is horrified. “What? You’ve got an engineer? That’s a mistake – he
should never have gone down there! You know all
engineers go to Heaven. Send him up here! ”

Satan says, “No way. I like having an engineer on the staff. I’m keeping him.”

God says, “Send him back up here or I’ll sue.”

Yeah, right,” Satan laughs, “and where are you going to get a lawyer?”

“Heaven is for Real”

August 13, 2011

I just finished reading the New York Times best seller: “Heaven is for Real” which is a quick and easy read. It is about a youngster who died or was near death during a surgery and as many others have reported visited Heaven. His name is Colton. Some of the evidence that Colton visited Heaven is pretty convincing e.g. meeting a deceased sister he had never been told about. He also visited with a grandfather that died 25 years before he was born and according to his parents Colton was never told about that particular grandfather. I am sure neither of those amazing revelations will convince the non-believers that Heaven exists and probably will not come as any great shock to the believers.  Colton was shown many, many images of Christ and always said they were not right. However an image painted by Akiane Kramarik who began having visions of  Heaven at age four was exactly correct according to Colton. Colton and Akiane grew up many miles apart from one another and to my knowledge have never met. Of course that does not make it a “slam dunk” that her painting  is a correct depiction of Jesus but it is interesting at least to this believer. Akiane was 8 years old when she did the painting; to see the painting click below:
