Jet Engine Car

March 20, 2018

The car referred to in the below link was shown at the Easter Show in Forest Park (St Louis) last year. The car was started and run several times. The sound was the same as a jet engine albeit a bit quieter. Hopefully it will be shown again this year at the Easter Show on Easter (April 1st)

On my 2nd cross-country all traffic was cleared and I too was vectored into the airport at Springfield, Illinois because my Cessna windscreen had iced over completely and I could see nothing (a real “pucker” day) I still remember the deafening silence when I told the tower I was on my 2nd cross-country with a windscreen completely iced over… My instructor had gone over the weather with me before the flight because I was a new pilot and he saw nothing to indicate icing: “Stuff Happens”
