I recently signed up for a 30 day free trial of Netflix and downloaded a movie to watch. It is not a lot of fun to sit at your desk and watch a movie and I didn’t want to hold the laptop so I had an idea (stay with me folks I don’t get these often). I adapted my old bike stand to hold my laptop and placed it in front of the fireplace. “Shazzam, it don’t get no better than this folks”: free movie on demand, fireplace and if all goes well popcorn too. Now, admittedly, the bike stand is not real elegant and my late wife would not be happy with it in the living room: however, they make a stand which is a little more “House Beautiful” but it cost $165.00 and I am not sure if “more elegant” is worth $165.00. We shall see how the bike stand and Netflix “plays out” over the next few days and if the bike stand gets knocked over in the middle of the night while I am asleep.
