February 18, 2014Check out the ears
February 8, 2014Before I developed osteoporosis and rode 2 wheel bikes a lot I did a ride on the Katy Trail with some friends. We stopped during the ride at a small town called Defiance and behold on their menu was chili made with squirrel meat. Kind of like pizza, in my mind, there is no bad chili some are just better than others. The squirrel chili was quite good so I can relate to the Russians’ newly found fondness for squirrels. July 18, 2013Tree Rat Attacks Bird Feeder
January 23, 2012This little guy gave it a valiant effort but did not reach the feeding rail. Had he reached the feeding rail much to his chagrin the doors to the feeding ports would have closed. So far it has worked flawlessly but you never know when a wily squirrel will show up with a tree hook to hang onto while he devours the seeds.

Rally Squirrel packs it on
November 8, 2011The Rally Squirrel was caught packing it on this morning outside my window. The window has a sun film on it to reduce the heat from the afternoon sun but it also becomes a one-way film in the daylight so the little guy was not frightened away by my close up.
Congratulations St Louis Cardinals!
October 29, 2011The St Louis Cardinals won their 11th World Series. I watched the game with some friends and our hostess Edie S not wanting to take any chances about the outcome made sure the Rally Squirrel made an appearance – Legend has it a win is assured when the Rally Squirrel appears. Nice going Edie!
